Having gone to school in Mindarie myself for over 10 years, the Marina Mindarie has always been a huge part of my life – from lazy Sunday brekkies at the Dome in high school to cheers’ing a glass (or two, or three!) at The Boat or The Indi after a long day at uni. Growing up, the Marina has changed and evolved over the years to become a super-fun, laid-back space with heaps of cool events happening throughout the year for people of all ages.
Encompassing 13 major annual events including old fan favourites as well as new additions, the Marina Mindarie events program has grown EPICALLY in the last couple of years and is now one of the hottest places to be up here NOR! One of their most recent exciting ventures is the opening of Ritrovo this October, set to become the latest local Italian by the water to meet, dine, espresso and spritz. The Cabana Pool Bar & BBQ is also re-opening for the summer season – which is a local favourite to sit back and relax by the pool. Another exciting family-friendly pop-up is coming this Summer called Lifeboat, combining free family movies on an outdoor screen with a container bar and fish & chips – can I get a hell yeah!?
For parents looking for something to entertain their kiddies these upcoming school holidays, the Marina Mindarie is hosting an amazing school holiday program running from the 28th-13th of September. Getting the kids outside and in the sunshine, there are a ton of super-fun activities and $5 kids meals will also be available Monday through to Friday at Indian Ocean Brewing Co and The Boat, making it a super affordable day out for the whole family.
