WA Maritime Museum (Multiple dates)

If you’ve got an ocean living kid, then head on down to the WA Maritime Museum  for their special school holiday activities. Deep Ocean Adventures, offers free craft activities and dressups in Titanic-inspired costumes for young mariners. For something a little different, check out Challenging the Deep: Torchlight Expedition. This special evening exploration of James Cameron: Challenging the Deep is best suited for kids aged 6 – 12 years old. Armed with torchlights, guests will be following the shapes and shadows of marine animals and discovering the mysteries of deep water shipwrecks and high-tech submarines. As part of the entry fee, guests are invited to stay and explore the exhibition with the lights on once the torchlight tour has ended.

Telethon Kids Institute Discovery Centre at Scitech (Multiple Dates)

Engage your little scientists with the awesome series of workshops by the Telethon Kids Institute Discovery Centre at Scitech! From learning about blood to antimicrobial resistance, these 1 hour workshops are a great supplement to an educational day out at Scitech. We’re especially intrigued by the heart workshop – kids will get to make a model of the heart that can actually pump blood! How cool is that??? The workshops have different age recommendations but cater mostly for 5 -8  and 9 – 12 age groups.
