When we decided to do a feature on Perth’s Best Burgers we thought, how could we have tasted them all and give you the most honest list? I then knew what to do! Get our friends over on instagram @bestburgersinperth to get involved and here are their top five! We have been getting super hungry just thinking about these – comment and let us know your faves too.
Throughout Perth, burger joints are popping up left, right and centre, which makes it hard to choose the right places when there’s only 7 days in a week! Now that’s a problem we can help with – Our names are Taylor and Taryn and we’re from @bestburgersinperth! Here are 5 of our favourite locally owned burger joints!
Rack City Ribs – Morley
Rack City Ribs’ spiced beef patties are next level, absolutely killing the game! Roll your sleeves up and get your napkins ready, because the juice in these burgers are beyond your control and a must taste for Perth’s Best Burgers. Let’s just say these guys know how to both construct a good burger, as well as deliver flavours that’ll leave you speechless. This American style diner specialises in BBQ, whilst producing only the freshest and highest quality of meats and ingredients. For how big these burgers are, you’ll be blown away with how little you’ll pay, and for an extra $3, you can add a side of fries and a can of soft drink – now that’s bang for your buck. Rack City Ribs operates out of Centrepoint Pizza from Friday through to Sunday only.
The Burger HUT – Wanneroo
The Burger HUT is our GO-TO for a traditional-styled hearty burger. When it comes to quality, taste and value for money, this place has it all. All burgers come with hot chips and a salad at no extra cost, starting from just $9.90!! We guarantee you’ll be walking … or rolling out with a full belly. Their premium local WA beef patties and special marinated chicken breasts are char-grilled on volcanic rocks, delivering a smokey BBQ taste. The wide range of ingredients are always fresh and are held together in a lightly toasted bun. The menu here will leave you spoilt for choice! The Burger HUT is our local … time and time again, we have not once been disappointed which really goes to show that their consistency is through the roof.
The Peach Pit – Scarborough
This stunning beachfront bar is located on the beautiful coastline of Scarborough Beach.The Peach Pit is a casual and vibrant social space, perfect for a laid-back beer, cheeky cocktail and of course burgers and bites. We were blown away when we tried out their new burger menu! Their smashed patties are seasoned and cooked to perfection with a super crispy crust, all held together in a soft potato bun. Might we add, you HAVE to try their unique cornflake crumbed chicken burger … crazy we know, but trust us, it is surprisingly tasty. The Peach Pit has recently introduced a ‘Burger of the Month’, which we absolutely love the idea of! I don’t know about you, but I think this will have to be a monthly occurrence.
Cave Man BBQ – Fremantle
Cave Man BBQ (aka “Chef Mike”) is here to answer your most delicious of cravings and to show you how a real BBQ is done. He is serving up some of Perth’s most innovative burgers and juicy meats, including beef patties (brisket, chuck & dry-aged beef blend) smoked beef brisket, buttermilk fried chicken, pulled pork and other slow cooked meats. SO … buckle up, start the car and head on down to Cave Man BBQ, where you can try one of the juiciest burgers Perth has to offer! With an explosion of unique flavours that cater to each individual’s taste buds, we can guarantee there will be a burger for you. The lightly toasted milk bun is designed to handle some of the craziest combinations, from start to finish. One of Perth’s Best Burger joints for sure.
Red Chilli Burger Bar – North Perth
Red Chilli Burger Bar is a family operated, European-style Balkan Burger Bar with a classic American twist. Their meat is sourced from locally renowned Torre Butchers, where it is finely minced and seasoned with their secret family spice recipe, giving it that unique Balkan’ Pleskavica’ taste. We highly recommend trying their ‘R.C Calzone Burger… the beef patty is filled and oozes with cacciatore sausage, feta, roasted red peppers and melted edam cheese. Is your mouth watering yet?! Their house made Turkish buns are a refreshing change from your typical brioche buns, which we absolutely loved. Their ingredients are of high quality and are consistently fresh throughout the menu. With flavours as good as these, Red Chilli Burger Bar will have you planning your next visit before you have even left.
