‘James returns with his most ambitious show to date — an epic, thought-provoking stage spectacular celebrating the 1000 great lives that shaped history. However, with the cast missing, budget running low and doubts that he can count that many, he might have to think on his feet.’

Some shows you watch the time wondering how long is left, and some have you captive from start to finish. 1000 Great Lives was one that this gent from the UK had me engaged in the whole way through. Without jumping to the end – I left this show with sore cheeks from laughing so hard, and with a thorough understanding that there are WAY too many Davids in Perth!

James’ cast is running late to the show and they have abandoned him to do it all himself! What on earth will he do?

Through many twists and turns (some part of the show, others completely random like the first THREE audience members taken on stage being called Dave), James educates you on some of the great lives of history, like Thomas Edison. This show is part education, part fun; but mainly fun. James’ stage presence is fantastic and he connects well with the audience. There is an element of audience participation in this show, with singing, creating a puppeteer and trumpet playing. You don’t need to have experience though- that is all taken care of for you.

This show was definitely my humour – it was silly, it was clever, it was even a little slapstick.  James Hancox shows that the ability to think on your feet, with a dash of clever banter can make even a history lesson a night to remember.
