If you’re anything like me, once that winter chill sets in, it can be HARD to get out of your trackies and get moving. Dust off your best activewear Perth, I’m giving you motivation! I’m taking you to our cities top three Perth walks that end with a treat! And by treat I’m talking ‘bout some serious deliciousness that will make getting out of your toasty bed SO worth it.
Hyde Park
Hyde Park is one of the prettiest walks I’ve found in Perth and is perfect for families with young kids. The park features two awesome playgrounds (one water-based for summer and another perfect for winter) to stop in along the way, plus gazebos and plenty of park benches where you can get the ultimate #healthyliving ‘gram. The biggest drawcard for Hyde Park is the heavenly Chu Bakery across the road on William Street. These guys serve up the most delectable desserts I’ve ever seen! Do yourself a favour and give their Insta a stalk before you head in; you’ll find an assortment of donuts, cakes, croissants and pastries.
You can thank me later!

West Coast Drive
If you’re a Northie like myself, I don’t even have to tell you about West Coast Drive. It is one of the best Perth walks hands down. But if you’re new here, West Coast will soon become your go-to for breezy, beautiful walks with unwavering views.
It’s not hard to see why the walkway is constantly packed no matter the weather. With the stunning Indian Ocean as your backdrop and a jaw-dropping number of adorable pooches to pet along the way it is a crowd favourite. Whilst you can start from almost anywhere on West Coast Drive, my personal fave spot is to start at Scarborough Beach. The walk takes you past the amphitheatre, through to Island Market Trigg and Canteen, and all the way to the iconic Yelo Café. Here you will find amazing coffee, fresh juices and both sweet and savoury muffins to reward yourself for such a great walk!

East Perth
If you’re a city slicker, East Perth tops as one of the most beautiful places to explore. With a tonne of interesting sights to see along the way, you can park for free at Crown and make your way over to Optus Stadium, where you can take in the views of our iconic birds-nest structure. Walking past The Camfield and over the Matagarup Bridge, you’ll get to see the Swan River in all it’s glory.
A further trek and you’ll make your way to Elizabeth Quay. Here you’ll find a selection of mouth-watering delights to treat yo’ self. My fave here is grabbing a scoop of handmade happiness from Gusto Gelato. If you’re a little more peckish, V Burger does droolworthy burgers, with something for everyone. When it’s time to head back, you can take a shortcut over the Causeway and be back to your car in no time!
