You asked… and The Perth Royal Show listened!
The Yellow Brick Road is back for the first time since 2017! Go on a journey throughout the showgrounds to enjoy fun-filled activities and learn about food, farming and sustainability. This year’s Yellow Brick Road is the largest to date. In fact, our show insiders have suggested allocating up to two and a half hours to fully experience the trail.
At the family friendly price of $15, the show bag offers a starter bag with pencil and map, leading to a treasure hunt across the showgrounds. Some of the activities include:
- Planting spinach seeds at the Horticulture Hub
- Taking AI-enhanced seflies with the Perth Mint
- Enjoy a FREE cheese toastie and a gift from Masters at the Dairy Pavilion
- Craft your own mini wool bale at the Sheep Pavilion
This interactive trail is targeted at kids aged 6-12, but all ages are welcome to join in!
The best part is that the trail can be done in any order. While there is a recommended trail route in the booklet, visitors can start and stop the trail at any point. This is perfect for little kids who might need a breather between stops… or get distracted by the other fun things at the show.
There will only be 20,000 Yellow Brick Road bags available throughout the show, so we recommend securing your bag online while purchasing your tickets. Alternatively, bags can be purchased between 10am and 3pm in-person at showground information booths or the dedicated sales booth on AgVenture Hill.
So get those walking shoes ready! You don’t want to miss out on this adventure.
