As one of the best markets WA has to offer (and we know our markets!), it’s no surprise that the Perth Makers Market are soaring from strength to strength, continuing to grow in numbers and popularity since they started back in February 2016. If you’re a creative yourself who thrives on making beautiful, unique pieces for sale then boy, do we have some exciting news for you! The Perth Makers Market are on the hunt for new, emerging makers to join the squad from April onwards and be a part of the markets – a fantastic opportunity for those in the industry looking to delve into the magical world of markets!

With a 30% discount for newbies and a whopping 50% off for students who’d like to join the Perth Makers Market, now is the absolute best time to back yourself, get involved and join a community of like-minded individuals showcasing their own locally-made wares. Whether you make art pieces, jewellery, fashion items, furniture or nick-nacks, Perth Makers Market’s aim is to try and have a diverse range of local creatives at every market, so your stall will always stand out and shine. Doing things a little differently than other markets, each Perth Makers Market event is guaranteed to be different to the last, with different stallholders making their debut every market. This is so they can continue to offer amazing opportunities to new applicants as well as keeping things interesting for members of the public so that they aren’t always seeing the same vendors every time. So when you attend a PMM event, you really are getting a unique, one-of-a-kind experience!

As always, Perth Makers Market is all about COMMUNITY, and helped out the local KickstART Festival last year, which is all about supporting Youth Arts WA. Utilising the PMM website software, they assisted in accepting applications, helping with stallholder recruitments, layout of the event, social media guidance, event management on the day PLUS a free workshop for participants offering pointers from the pro’s themselves. The KickstART Market is the biggest event of the KickstART Festival calendar, and this year’s was one of the best yet.

If you haven’t checked out the Perth Makers Market yet, the next event is only a stones throw away on Sunday the 23rd of February at Heathcote – 58 Duncraig Road, Applecross. The market is loaded with heaps of super-fun activities alongside stallholders and drool-worthy food trucks, including giant garden games for kids (and big-kids of course!), a pirate ship playground, buskers, artist open studios and the art gallery and museum open to browse.
