Bernie Dieter's Club Kabarett Review - Fringe World Perth 2024

I couldn’t think of anything better to do on a Wednesday night than head into the city and immerse myself in my first Fringe show of the season. Bernie Dieter’s Club Kabarett was a wild ride and the best possible choice to kick things off with. No dipping in toes, we’re going butt naked skinny dipping straight into the deep end.

The entire cast of the show were exceptionally unique and absolutely hot as heck. The Kleenheat sizzle factor was right on point, every audience member is in for a very hot night and all expectations and reservations should remain safely tucked inside your wardrobe at home. Although, having said that, not everyone should heed this warning as watching the unassuming conservative patrons is almost as entertaining as the show itself.

The ringmaster leading this delightfully dirty band of heathens was the Mistress of Mayhem herself, Bernie Dieter. Bernie’s high energy, crowd engagement and flawless vocals set the perfect backdrop for the unbelievable performances provided by her crew.

Every entertainer showcases a different skill, with fire wielding and acrobatics just some of the things in store. One of my personal favourites of the night was the seemingly boneless contortionist who treated her body like a pet performing tricks. And my God if it didn’t listen to every damn thing that she said.

Bernie Dieter’s Club Kabarett reminds the audience that it is our unique differences that make us extraordinary. Every person is welcome here, and it is an exquisite sight to behold.

At a time where we feel like we’ve seen it all, Bernie’s Dieter still somehow managed to provide the most undeniable shock factor. The only problem with seeing this show first is that now the bar is set impossibly high!
