Another utterly spellbinding production from Kinetica, and honestly… they just keep raising the bar.
From the moment the lights drop, you’re pulled into a futuristic world where humanity and technology collide.
A minimalist stage strips everything back, leaving nowhere to hide – and the performers absolutely own it.
The flawless aerial work, jaw-dropping physical strength and razor-sharp precision of the acrobats is a true testament to the Kinetica brand. I knew what to expect, and yet it still managed to surprise me.
It was a captivating, polished, professional performance from start to finish.
The lighting glitches, lasers and pulsing electronic soundtrack work in perfect harmony, filling the space with tension and atmosphere. It’s clever, immersive and visually striking without ever feeling overdone. Every element has purpose.
And then… the fire dance.
Always mesmerising. Its slow, rhythmic allure had me sitting seduced, suspended in a calm, almost hypnotic trance. (I’ll admit it…I’m quite partial to fire performance, and this one hit that sweet spot of danger, beauty and control! )
Every movement across the acts appeared effortless, yet you could feel the trust, courage and connection between the performers.
It reminded me of my primary school years – using each other’s bodies for creative balancing and flipping off monkey bars with reckless confidence.
It’s not something I’d ever consider attempting at my age, but discovering they offer local circus classes from Beginners through to Pre-Professionals had me quietly intrigued. What a brilliantly fun alternative for strength and flexibility training!
If you love contemporary circus, high drama, and performances that make you feel something — I absolutely recommend “Glitch.”
