⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and a half.

Wacky Wizardry brings all the laughs and more!

My kids LOVED this show. It was the first show they’ve attended at Fringe this year where they were fully engaged from beginning to end.

Sole star of the show, Josh Staley, brings so much energy to the stage as he performs a bunch of magic tricks. His formula is simple – he purposely messes up the first attempt at a magic trick, to much hilarity, and then for the following tries he wows the audience with magic mastery.

He tells the kids that whenever they see a rubber chicken throughout the show, they need to yell out “CHICKEN”, and much to the delight of the crowd, the chickens keep popping up in the most unlikely of places.

I brought my 4 year old and 8 year old, plus our 7 year old neighbour, and I think what they loved the most about the show was the audience participation. All three of them got a turn on the stage, and Josh had them actively involved in the magic tricks.

At the end of the show, everyone can take home a couple of keepsakes, as well as a link to his website where you can download all the instructions to do your own magic tricks at home.

If you’re looking for a show you’ll know your kids will love – this is it. I give it a solid 4.5/5, and recommend it for ages 3 – 12.
