Shrek The Musical has arrived! It starts this Thursday 3rd October and runs through until 9th October at Crown Perth… and there’s an actual dragon in it!
Shrek is one of the most beloved films, adored by children and adults everywhere. It also has one of the best soundtracks, which includes the iconic, “I’m a Believer” by Smash Mouth. Now it’s been turned into a hit stage show and offers a great opportunity to immerse your kids into the world of theatre, acting and dance. It will make the perfect end to the school holidays.
Join our temperamental protagonist, Shrek the ogre, on his journey to rescue a strong-willed princess. As he brings us into a magical fairytale world for an adventure, he will encounter a unique band of eccentric characters. These include his bestie, an adorable talking donkey, and the obstacle to his quest, a ‘short’ tempered villain.
We will also meet the cutest little cookie with attitude and all of our favourite fairytale characters. This show promises to be hilarious, and did I mention… there’s an actual dragon! Okay, it may not be real but it did need its own 40 foot shipping container to get here.
Shrek the Musical is presented by the renowned production company, Showcase Entertainment Group. Audiences can expect a visual spectacular, thanks to the $1.3 million stage set.
The musical debuted in 2008 and has travelled across the world to Far Far Away places, and it’s been a smash everywhere. So get in quick to secure tickets!
