Tolley’s Lane is a new bar in the Fremantle West End Heritage Area. Nestled in the former cellars of liquor merchants Tolley & Co (built in 1897), Tolley’s Lane has a great atmosphere. I love the open timber beams and ceiling, as well as décor that is both cosy and chic. Open from 7am, Tolley’s is slinging breakfasts and coffees to locals, shift workers, and early party starters alike.

The breakfast, mains, and snack menus come with a decent selection of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-friendly options. The dishes served up at our recent brunch with friends were aesthetically presented, and everyone was excited to have a little taste of one another’s selections.

On our visit, I opted for the Big Brekky, which delivered on its promise, It is more than enough for a healthy appetite! We also sampled the Tolley’s Brekky Sandwich (bacon, cheese, hash brown, and a perfectly fried egg) which, with a coffee, is a current special for just $15! It was toasty, tasty, and a bargain to boot. The coffees here, along with everything else, are extremely well executed. Everyone’s food looked amazing, with the Cinnamon Brioche French Toast being a crowd pleaser. I’m already planning to return to sample more menu selections (the burgs and bites are on the hit list).

The bar has an impressive 32 taps, which features 30 local craft beers. The ‘beer flight’ of any four 200ml glasses is too good a deal to pass up! From 9am, the skilled bar staff start making magnificent cocktails – did I mention what an awesome brunch spot Tolley’s Lane is?

So if it is coffee, cuisine, crafties, or cocktails you are after, Tolley’s is an excellent new option in the heart of historic Fremantle. We had a great time, and I’m sure you will, too! , and I’m confident that this place will grow to be a local favourite.
