⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ain’t no chavs mucking about in this lineup of royally talented acts!

I went in blind. No reviews, no deep dive on the Fringe ticketing page, not even a cheeky scroll. I just wanted to be joyfully surprised and properly entertained by whatever hit the stage. To be honest, I was just happy for a night out!)\

What I got was so much more.

If you love the jaw-dropping magic of Cirque du Soleil, the mind-bending moments of The Illusionists, and the delicious energy of shows like La Clique, then this is absolutely your jam. With talent hailing from some of these productions – with their skill and professionalism – it’s obvious to me now why I enjoyed it so much.

From the second the lights came up, my attention was locked in.

We were greeted by host Paul Dabek (the most captivating corporate cockney sparrow there ever was!), who took us back to Coventry Square – where his love of the performing arts began.

Every act flowed effortlessly into the next, each one upping the ante without trying too hard.

Slick, playful, technically brilliant, and just the right amount of cheek. (PG cheek. THIS show is definitely family friendly if you want to bring kids!)

It’s bold without being messy, impressive without being pretentious, and fun in that “how the hell did they just do that?” kind of way.

I laughed, giggled, picked my jaw up, leaned forward in my seat, and forgot about real life for a hot minute… and I may or may not have danced out of the event like a right geezer to The Clash’s “London Calling”. (Send me footage if you have it!)

So “Yeah, baby”, add this show to your Fringe “Must See” list. You’ll be “Shaken, Not Stirred” from “Having A Good Time”….

(ok, I can see our Editor in Chief rolling her eyes at me… but please “Don’t. Stop. Me. Now”)

London Calling is now showing at Fringe World until 8th February 2026.
