⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Life Drawing With a Comedian is a joyful, low-pressure experience that blends creativity and humour in a way that feels warm, inclusive, and genuinely fun.
The session began a little later than scheduled due to setup and getting everyone settled with materials. While this did slightly shorten the session, it felt like a minor hiccup rather than a real issue – especially once things got underway and the room found its rhythm.

The comedians modelling on the night brought light, self-deprecating humour rather than traditional stand-up sets. The comedy felt conversational and relaxed, perfectly suited to the informal atmosphere. It was less about punchlines and more about shared laughter, which worked well alongside the drawing.
Participants were guided through a variety of drawing styles and prompts, including exercises like sketching the person next to you. These activities helped remove any pressure to be “good” at art and made the experience accessible to everyone. Talented artists were celebrated, while less polished efforts were shared in good humour, never unkindly. The tone throughout was playful, supportive, and welcoming.
A selection of audience sketches was shared during the session, some impressive and others delightfully rough, all in the spirit of fun. It was clear that participation mattered far more than technical skill.
Although billed as life drawing, the models were suitably clothed, making the event comfortable and approachable. This is the kind of show you could easily attend with a grandparent, on a date night, or even as a lighthearted blind date. Nothing felt awkward or confronting. Instead, the atmosphere was calm, casual, and friendly.
By the end, I found myself wishing it had gone a little longer – always a good sign. I left smiling, relaxed, and unexpectedly inspired to explore more art classes.
Overall, Life Drawing With a Comedian delivers exactly what it promises: laughter, creativity, and a genuinely good time.
