Alkimos is now home to one of the most sea-tastic playgrounds in the northern suburbs. Gather up your little mermaids and pirates, pop on a sea shanty and get ready for them to go crazy for this incredible ocean inspired playground.

The play equipment is impressive on its own with a large climbing tower and enclosed slide, a beached whale tunnel, a bouncy plank (in case there’s a mutiny), plus a smaller wooden boat and a cubby and slide that are perfect for the littler explorers. However, what really sets this park a part is the treasure hunt that has been incorporated into the space and can be completed by anyone, anytime! All you have to do is print off the Captain’s Notebook from the Peet website or pick up a copy from the sales office and you’re ready to begin one of the six treasure hunts around the playground.

If the explorers get tired and need a little break to re-energise, no worries. There are two large ocean themed storybooks in an undercover section of the playground, perfect for having a bit of down time whilst still sparking their imaginations!

There’s a large open field just next to the playground for those who need a bit of extra running space and on the other side of that is a café and restaurant, a great place to grab a coffee or afternoon snack.

As the playground is located just a few short meters from the beach, it’s a beautiful spot to watch the sunset, either from the sand or inside the climbing tower!
