Have a little one obsessed with aeroplanes and flying? Make their day with a trip to Drimmie Park in Clarkson. Drimmie Park is located on Aviator Boulevard in Catalina Central.

A change of pace from the ocean theme that has inspired many of the playgrounds around Perth, the main set up of this playground is in the shape of a plane. Specifically, a Catalina Sea Plane replica. The structure itself allows for endless imaginative play, whilst the steel bars that make up the plane are perfect for older kids who love to flip and climb.

This Perth playground includes a swing set (of course) and is surrounded by soft white sand, which is great for playing in AND is gentle on little feet. There’s plenty of grass space for picnics and ball games, as well as a couple of undercover tables.

If you’re wanting to get some exercise in while the kids have a play, jump on the outdoor gym equipment which is set up right next to the plane, or take a stroll around the walking track that circles the park.

Make sure you come prepared as there aren’t any toilets located at the park, though if you get desperate there are a section of shops just a two-minute drive away.

Although not the biggest playground around, Drimmie Park is full of imagination and charm and will quickly become a family favourite.
