Get Outside!

The popular Muddy Hands Festival is back… so pro tip… bring a change of clothes for the kids and YOURSELF. It’s not just mudpits and messy play though, the festival aims to encourage outdoor play and nature appreciation.

Can’t make that? Why not visit the Sustainability Fair at Herdsman Lake? There’ll be sustainable crafts and activities to entertain the kids and foster the little environmental warrior in them.

If you’re after something bigger, November is your LAST CHANCE to see Humpback whales in their annual migration. Whale Watch WA run daily tours departing from Fremantle with a 100% sighting guarantee. If you don’t see the whales species of your tour on the day, you will receive a return ticket which can be used at ANY time in the future.

Eliabeth Quay will be hosting the Lotterywest City of Light Show. With entertainment, food trucks and a sideshow alley, it’s sure to be a hit with every member of the family.

Support local this Christmas!

It’s more important than ever to support our local businesses, so why not pick up a unique gift from your local artisan market? Most local artisans will have produced extra goodies for the Christmas surge but now is also your last opportunity to put through any custom requests you might have in mind.

While most markets will have some form of entertainment, some have gone the extra step of providing activities to occupy the kids with while parents take turns browsing the stalls. Our personal favourite is Perth Makers Market at Heathcote Reserve. The giant pirate ship themed playground is always a magnet for the kiddies… you might have trouble leaving the markets!

Summer X Salt Markets’ kids tent will feature ocean themed arts, crafts and play from 9am – 11am. These activities are run by the Kids Nature Club so make sure the kids get in early as their activities often draw a crowd.
