5 star review fringe 2023

Get your parachute pants and leg warmers out of the closet! Matt Hale is back in town, and we all know what that means… Get ready to laugh uncontrollably, gasp, sing along, and be dazzled by his unique 80’s themed hypnosis act.

Matt’s show is the best combination of hypnosis, comedy and improv, making each show an entirely original, and a completely unforgettable experience.

Matt gets the crowd into stitches of laughter before he even gets onto the stage with an epic rock star video montage. He then fires up the room to get everyone singing out loud, chanting and dancing to all the best 80’s classics. Think Footloose…Think Bob Segar…Think Toni Basil!

Once everyone is nice and warmed up, he invites volunteers to come on down to the stage to be a part of the act. So, if you have ever had the burning desire to be hypnotized in front of a live audience, your chance is finally here!

It was hilarious to see the people on stage (myself included), acting out these ridiculous scenarios with complete conviction, as if everything happening were real.

I must admit that I was a little bit of a sceptic about the whole “hypnosis thing” before I attended the show, but I have come out the other end more enlightened. I was one of the twenty people who volunteered to get on stage to be hypnotized. To be honest, I don’t
remember the first 15 minutes of the show because I was in such a deep relaxed state. After watching the videos back and observing how I was able to
execute Matt’s commands while in that relaxed state is what completely sold me.

Matt does an amazing job of keeping the momentum of the show going, all while keeping the audience engaged and on the edge of their seat while ensuring the safety of the ones on stage. He has a unique way of ensuring everyone in the room has fun, but also feels relaxed and comfortable.

If you want to laugh until your face hurts, and don’t mind possibly becoming the star of the show, then definitely grab tickets to see this spectacular performance.

Prepare yourself for a serious dose of laughter!!
