Scottish comic, Grant Mushet of 100% Scottish Comedy notoriety opened his 2025 FRINGE WORLD show last night. This year he is drawing inspiration from his own experiences with the show’s namesakes to deliver a hilarious and unique set!

Mushet walks the line between self-deprecating humour and bold storytelling, ensuring no topic is off-limits but everything lands with a punchline. From the proposal to his wife to his belief that the Scottish flag was once just a blue square… until someone wanted to snort a line, anything goes with Muschet!

The show follows a loose structure, moving seamlessly from Mushet’s difficulties with drugs to finding love and pushing sexual boundaries whilst leaving flexibility for improvised stand-up and audience interaction.

The show may be quick, but it makes the most of every minute, with unexpected jokes that leave audiences shell-shocked and gasping for breath. Mushet’s take on love is charming and often a bit daring, to say the least. His unfiltered attitude puts the audience at ease, allowing the show to feel less performative and more like a chat with a good mate who has certainly seen some things!

It was great to see that Muschet won’t be backed into a box of “Scottish humour” as he proves he can cover so much more ground with resounding success.

Mushet has an impressive track record at Fringe, having won a Comedy Weekly Award at FRINGE WORLD Perth in 2021! If you like bold, brash, and unfiltered comedy, LSD – Love. Sex. Drugs. is the late-night fix you need. With only three shows remaining; you better hurry to get your tickets now!
