Nanna Bingo is a laugh-out-loud, irreverent, colourful and interactive take on your classic bingo, and will delight audiences with its zany, doesn’t-take-itself-too-
Upon arrival, the audience settles in for a night of bingo like no other. While we’re busy crossing off numbers, Nanna makes off-colour jokes and smokes her faux cigarette. She is certainly a fabulous sight to behold, with her sparkly ensemble and trademark wig.
Nanna also takes great delight in involving the audience in her jokes and hilariously clever remarks. If you’re nervous about audience participation, rest assured, Nanna has you covered. You can opt out if you’d prefer not to take part!
With a show as sparkly and as memorable as her outfits and her makeup, Nanna Bingo has enjoyed great success. She has even been asked to perform overseas! With her off-kilter charm and extremely funny quips, it’s not hard to see why. Nanna is very adept at keeping the conversation and the gin and tonic flowing, and never skips a beat between drawing bingo balls!
While Nanna isn’t anything like my equally fabulous grandmother, I have a feeling mine would still approve of this comedic, shiny, quirky, joyful show. However, be warned that this Nanna is a bit naughty! She enjoys talking about adult content. She’s also not shy about being forthright, and teases audience members with reckless aplomb.
So while I’m not sure I’d be clamouring to have her as a family member, as a performer, she’s unbeatable. If you can handle a dysfunctional grandmother for an hour, you most certainly won’t be disappointed.
Make sure you catch this before 26th January, as you don’t want to be a nanna on the wrong side of dementia!
