Nestle back into your seat, gaze up at the dome and immerse yourself into a sensory world with the sounds of K MAK. Created by cellist Kathryn McKee, these unique compositions are a combination of strings, beats, vocals and synth, creating ethereal and emotive art pop. When combined with the projected visual wonderland floating all around you, it feels otherworldly, as if you are escaping reality for this hour.

Kathryn has performed her unique sounds with Eminem, Archie Roach, Guy Sebastian and Opera Queensland to name a few. Her sound is haunting. There were times I wanted to escape further into this alternate world she creates, so I closed my eyes, blocking myself off from the visual journey. In doing so, I felt myself drift even deeper into the mesmerising music encompassing me.

This certainly isn’t an experience everyone will enjoy, you need to feel drawn to this kind of alternative entertainment. The projected visuals are designed to be integrated with the music and are a combination of sensory, botanical and space themes. It’s interesting to observe your reaction to the combination of the song and the imagery selected.

This is no ordinary concert. It’s an experience where music and visuals entwine, enveloping you in a symphony of sights and sounds. K MAK creates a sonic landscape that feels as vast and limitless as the cosmos itself. If you seek a mental escape from the chaos of the daily grind, immerse yourself into this extraordinary world.
