It’s not often you find a cafe that has decent parking options, great décor, friendly customer service, delicious coffee, perfectly cooked food and a homey atmosphere all in one but this is exactly what ‘Corner Grind Cafe’ gave me this morning!
Open since the 26th November 2019, ‘Corner Grind’ is a charming and spacious cafe located on the corner of the beautiful Cambridge street in Wembley. As soon as you step into this cafe you fall absolutely in love with their décor. A mix of rustic and modern, it presents an exposed brick feature wall mixed with aspects of current-day whites and large floor to ceiling glass front windows. It is the perfect space to indulge in some flavoursome dishes with great company. Open 7 days ‘Corner Grind’ serves up some seriously good coffee by day and some of Margaret River’s best drips by night. This beautiful and quaint cafe provides an all-day breakfast and lunch menu from Monday – Sunday but also a dinner menu from Wednesday – Saturday. Aside from getting a little too excited about all the dishes I want to come back and try, I couldn’t go past their overhead hanging floral ladder installation with festoon lights. It is every bit stunning and finishes off the interior design in this cafe sublimely.
Breakfast is definitely one of my favourite meals of the day and ‘Corner Grind’ did not disappoint on delivering two very delicious meals from their all-day menu. A perfectly made ‘Mushroom Bruschetta’, which consisted of some very well done ‘whipped feta, sauteed spinach, roast field mushrooms, poached eggs and balsamic glaze on toasted ciabatta’ and some of the fluffiiiiiiiiiiest ‘Ricotta Pancakes’ I have had in a long time! ‘Salted caramel mascarpone (which was divine), berry compote and maple syrup’ was all that was needed to win me over. Simple sure but the flavours were just so spot on with this dish. Did I mention you can add bacon and ice-cream to this number?! I of course I didn’t hesitate to add the bacon which was super crispy and crunchy, just how I like it. I Paired with a yummy almond latte and iced coffee we could not fault any of the aspects on either of these dishes. All the right flavours were exactly where they needed to be!
It is easy to see that the food from ‘Corner Grind Cafe’ is made with love. From the effort they put into the presentation to the work they put into ensuring it tastes every bit as delightful as it looks. The chefs of ‘Corner Grind’ show some serious craftsmanship through their dishes and I honestly love and applaud when chef’s put their all into the food they are creating and serving. You can really notice when they do and it makes the experience and want to return that much higher. Alongside the creative back of house team, the serving staff of this cafe are super friendly, welcoming and attentive. We didn’t have to wait long at all before we were checked in on, before our coffees came and then our food. We didn’t have to follow once and they brought everything out with a smile. Excellent customer service from both ends.
‘Corner Grind Cafe‘ completely brought it today in terms of super friendly customer service, on point coffee and really tasty breakfast food. The vibe is so homey feeling, allowing you to just sit back in these massive comfy chairs catching up with a friend and sharing some laughs over some really well-made food. What can you criticise about that? Nothing. I honestly could not fault this wonderful cafe and team. The atmosphere was welcoming and I absolutely loved the interior design of the whole space. Without a doubt, I will happily go back to ‘Corner Grind’ to try more of their delightful menu items. Bravo ‘Corner Grind’!
