International Whiskey Day will fall on Saturday March 27 this year, and we’ve found the perfect way to celebrate.
By tasting the finest American and Japanese whisky without leaving Western Australia! Perth’s premium whiskey event returns in 2021 with Perth’s most awarded American whiskey bar, Varnish on King, and Perth’s first Japanese whisky bar, Goody Two’s, are joining forces once again for International Whisk(e)y Day 2021.
Goody Two’s is the late night bar with Perth’s biggest variety of Japanese whisky, fab cocktails, niche eats and dancing.
Varnish on King is an intimate pub with brick-lined walls featuring a large whiskey selection & hearty, creative food.
So you know together they’ll create something everyone can enjoy!
These whiskys are worth traveling for, whether you’re a seasoned whisk(e)y drinker or a beginner; take your tastebuds on a journey from America (Varnish on King) to Japan (Goody Two’s) or vice versa for an immersive experience of whisk(e)y and delicious bites from each venue.
It’s the perfect Saturday night out, with customers taking part in an intimate tour of each venue and their specialties.
On arrival, revellers will be guided through the specialities of each venue including cocktails, a selection of whisk(e)y from around the world and curated food pairings. Guests will then jump on-board a Peddle Perth rickshaw accompanied by the signature sounds of each venue with tunes playing from S&J Sounds Spotify as they travel through the bright lights of Perth before touching down at the next venue.
Each ticket includes two drinks at each venue, teamed with delightful bites. Varnish on King are showing off their signature whiskey sour and pickleback – accompanied with delicious beef tendon crisps, maple bourbon lamb ribs and duck liver parfait chip & dip. Expect a whisky tasting flight and seasonal highball from Goody’s, as well as the underground bar’s infamous Korean fried chicken, crispy duck dumplings and miso roasted akoya oyster.
Tickets are $80 plus booking fee (valued at $150) this intimate experience is limited to 14 people at a time, with only three time slots available at each venue.
Session times include 4-6pm, 5-7pm & 6-8pm making them perfect for before a before dinner experience or a great way to start your Saturday night out!
