Almost every week one young Western Australian takes their own life
It’s a statistic we’re familiar with: suicide is the leading cause of death for young people under the age of 25 in Western Australia. It’s time to take action. Step up this Mental Health Week (10 to 17 October) to show young people they are not alone. It’s time to take action. Together, we can save young lives.
Youth Focus is challenging all Western Australians to walk 15km, 24km or 49km during Mental Health Week and raise vital funds to prevent youth suicide.
These kilometres represent the most recent figures that show that 49 young Western Australians aged between 15 to 24 tragically died by suicide in 2018.
This is a walk for all Western Australians.
