Organisers of Festibowl, Jordan Sitaram and Ryan Mead from Aus Street Food Events said: “Barefoot bowling is the perfect way to bring people together to enjoy the Australian summer. We’ve been passionate about bringing this lively version of the sport to Perth over the last three years and we are delighted to be launching Festibowl, the first festival of its kind, in Australia this year. Traditional Lawn Bowls clubs are struggling for members and we hope that Festibowl is a reminder of how we should cherish this great Australian sport and stop its decline. We’ve had a great response from bowls clubs up and down the country, and we’re delighted to play a role in helping to bring bowls into the 21st Century”
